Cavan County Museum
Located in a superb nineteenth Century building at Virginia Road, Ballyjamesduff, the Museum houses the material culture of Cavan and surrounding districts. Exhibition galleries feature unique Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Medieval artefacts. Interesting displays include the pre-Christian Killycluggin Stone and Corleck Head, the 1,000 year old Lough Errol Canoe, eighteenth Century Cavan Mace and Lavey Sheela na Gigs. The GAA Gallery was recently opened.

Killinkere Visitors Farm
Situated in Lisnagirl, Killinkere halfway between Virginia and Bailieborough in Co Cavan. Sometimes referred to as a Pet Farm or an Open Farm. It is both of these things and much more. It is a real Working Farm in the traditional way, that is small mixed farming including the animals that would have been farmed and used in the area for hundreds of years. Killinkere Visitor & Pet Farm also grows crops such as Oats, Potatoes, Flax and all sorts of vegetables to make Killinkere Visitor & Pet Farm more interesting. Lifeforce Mill - Millrock
A beautifully restored, fully working flourmill powered by Ireland's oldest waterturbine, Macadam 1846. A tour of the mill begins with each visitor making and baking his or her own loaf of brown bread which is baked while the tour takes place. All the original equipment is still used to produce Lifeforce stoneground wholemeal flour. After the tour you will return to the impressive stone coffee shop to collect your bread, hot out of the oven! The mill is open to visitors from May to September and at other times for groups by appointment

Bailieborough is a viberant town in east Cavan 1 hours drive from Dublin. In the centre of Ireland’s Lake district and is regarded as a fisherman’s haven with lakes situated within a radius of two miles all of which can boast excellent catches of course fish. With its many pubs restaurants and supermarkets, Bailieborough cater for all visitors. Beautiful walks include Castle Lake scenic walk and Lough-an Leigh Mountain walk with beautiful views.  Lough-an-Lea mountain (1119ft) an area of outstanding beauty. On a fine day it is possible to see 14 counties from the summit.  Bailieborough is in an excellent location for exploring the many more attractions further a field.
